NEW ZEALAND LABOUR PARTY. WELLINGTON SUBURBS ELECTORATE HARRY COMBS and his Organising Committee thanks wholeheartedly all those who voted for his successful return and those who tirelessly worked for Labour during the campaign and on Election Day. The Electors as a whole will be served faithfully.

THANKS It is indeed an hour for me to. be able to speak as the representative of some 3500 electors of Hutt who voted on Saturday for principles rather. than for party, more especially since this was the highest vote accordcd, to any candidate'opposing the two main parties in the whole of New Zealand, and it was recorded against the Minister of Finance and to Washington. I thank you sincerely for this wonderful support, and for the splendid hearing you have given me throughout the campaign. * The record meetings and inspiring interest and enthusiasm will be long 1 remembered, and will have a great influeirce on the future, extending far beyond the electorate. As I haW told you, it was to me more important as an educational than a , political campaign. This work I shall carry on outside Parliament, as I have always done, from the platform and in my paper, "Democracy," to inform and build Up the public opinion that will mean real democracy in New Zealand, and that will? safeguard the future of my generation after this war. To the wqnderful team of people who gave me so generously of their time and assistance, I extend my warmest' thanks. Mrs. I-logan and I feel that we have made scores of close knd valued personal friends in the Hutt "Valley, and we intend to make our home here in the future, and carry on the work for which such a splendid foundation has been laid. The result of this election has not dimmed, our faith in New Zealand's 1 destiny. . I wish to assure those w,ho ; have brought their housing problems to me in the past few weeks, anir-many others similarly •placed, that I shall continue to do everything in my power to s6e that your needs receive the urgent attention to' which they are entitled. I am especially glad to learn, that many pf you intend to establish the Electors' Association proposed by me during the campaign, to keep contact with your representative in Parliament, . and inform him of the wishes and needs of all sections of the community. This will be a splendid example to other electorates and I look, forward to the first meetings. JOHN HOGAN.

HUTT ELECTORATE To the Electors of the Hutt Electorate my Sincere Thanks are extended to all of those who support od ,me. I also take this opportunity of expressing my personal appreciation of the efficiency of the National Party Organisation in my district, and to Thank the many who worked voluntarily on my behalf.
