The flutt Valley can justly boast of having the most up-to-date photographic studio in its new 3 storey Post Ofilce Building. In this fine i new building has been constructed ; a wonderful studio, the like of which has not been seen in New Zealand' before. Ten spacious rooms, 1 a staff room, a small store room and a room for morning a,nd afternoon tea, make up this magnificent suite devoted to the latest in portrait photography. Modern methods and equipment have been adopted in all rooms. Telephone communication with all rooms gives quick service and Information, and radio speakers throughout, connected to a master radio, gramophone and crystal mic'"rophone likewise enable close co-op-eration between departments. The staff and those *doing business are immediately made aware of any special news going "over the air." Ventilation in the printing room, negative developing room and dressing rooms is by means of special exhaust fans which enable fresh air to circulate at all times. The reception room, 23 feet long and 21 feet wide is alongside the elevator on the first floor and overlooks High Street. It is furnished in New Guinea walnut and is carpeted. All the workrooms have very adequate shelving, benches, tables, counters, lighting and heating and are designed to handle a large amount of work every day. Central heating in all rooms makes for comfort for the staff and pleasant conditions when bejng photographed in the cold months of the year. The studio itself is of ample proportions and can easily accomodate a group of 100 persons. A special feature designed by a leading architect is a bridal dais, a platform approached by carpeted stairs. This enables the best effect to be obtained of the bridal- train and veil and most artistic pictures of bridesmaids and .bride can be made thereon.
