Attention is drawn to an advertisement in this issue of a sale of work, organised by the Ladies' Guild Of Trinity, Congregational Church, Central Terrace. The opening cereiiiohy takes place at 2.80 p.m. and there will be well stocked stalls and afternoon tea. A short concert programme will be presented in the evening. •
The Sistera of Compassion extend a cordial welcome to friends and to the general public to attend their garden fete at Silverstream on Saturday, October 2, at 2.15. The train leaves Wellington at 1.22. The Trentham military band will play. Visitors will be able to buy homemade goods and afternoon tea will be served. The fete is being held to augment the funds for the proposed building extensions.
