ST. STEPHEN'S WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION
<$> A "Bring and Buy" afternoon convened by Mesdames T. Linton and J. Marshall was a special feature of the May meeting of St. Stephen's Women's Association. A. great variety of produce, cakes, jams, etc., were on sale and were readily disposed of. Jn her opening remarks the president paid tribute to the memory of the late Mrs. Marshall who, since its inception, has so ably and wholeheartedly carried out the duties of secretary to the Association. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect, after which the hymn "Abide With Me" was sung. Arrangements were made Tor a jumble sale to be held in the Church Hall, Moera, on Friday, the 21st inst and goods may be left at any of the usual depots up to the 3 9th. An invitation was extended to all members to be present at the next meeting of the "Circle of Gold" to be held at Moera on Thursday, the 20 th inst. During the afternoon vocal duets were contributed by Mesdames Ilobson and McCailum, accompanied by Mrs. Hibby and recitations by Mrs Low. A delicious afternoon tea was served, the committee being Mesdames Jones, Kersley, King, Lopdell, Milne and Spencer.
