TOWNSWOMEN'S GUILD

There was a good attendance at the fourth annual the Alicetown Townswomen's (Juild. presided over by Mrs. Cox. The Secretary's report was very satisfactory and showed that good work had been done by the committee and members during the year. The Guild had catered for the llutt Valley Services Club on two

occasions and will provide more help in the future. The Soldiers stall is always well patronised, finest artists for the afternoon were Mrs. Cotter and Miss Judith J'rangley. Sprays were presented to them and also to Mrs. Dowse who occupied the chair for the election of oflicertj which resulted in Mrs. Cox being reelected president and Mrs. Mouat vice-president. An amusing competition was won by Mrs. McCallam and an enjoyable afternoon was brought to a close with the singing of the National Anthem.
