RANDWICK SCHOOL

PHYSICAL/ EDUCATION DISPLAY

A very successful physical education display took place &( Randwick School when there was a large number of parents present who were addressed by the Headma&ter, Miss Knox (the physical drill specialist), and Mr. W. Hall (representing the school committee). Every child participated in the demonstration and this no doubt, accounted for the large number of parents present. Various aspects of the new syllabus were shown, each class working under its teacher, and a special squad under Miss Knox demonstrated advanced agility work. A running commentary on the work taking place was given, and the necessity for the correct drill costume —with which most of the children were equipped—was stressed. At the conclusion of the display the parents were the guests of Form I and II at afternoon tea, and a collection taken up while tea was being served, produced a substantial sum towards the purchasing of drill apparatus.
