Patrol leaders' Parliament. The response of the Patrol Leaders and Seconds to their invitation 'to attend this meeting was; not so 'good, but those who came enjoyed an interesting and profitable afternoon and evening. From the .subjects debated several recommendations were made which will, soon be put into effect to the benelit of our District and Scouting. In the evening our guest speaker was the Dominion Commissioner for Development. Mr. C. Ruxton Bach, whose talk wag most helpful and inspiring. >>fcsfcriet Cuinpfire. The next Campfire will be held at St. Augustine's Scout Hall, Petone, on Saturday. September ftth. Troop .News On Saturday, 15th, an exceptionally large number of Cubs, Scouts, Scouters, parents and friends gathered together to celebrate the 15th birthday of the Third Lower Hull Group.- Among those present were the patron of the group, Air. J. W. Andrews and Mrs. Andrews. Mrs. J. E. Vogel (Hon. District Commissioner) and Mm H. Saunders [district Cubmaster). During tho evening the Thanks Budge was presented to Mrs. N. Clarke for her long and loyal service 011 the Group Committee. A very pleasant surprise was the gift to eacn boy of the Troop of; a beautifully printed copy, of the Scout Law and Promise, from the Wellington Rotary Club, suitable for framing. The high-light of the evening was the donation of the joinery for the new Group hall by Air. J. ,W. Andrews, and a cheque for £5 from Mr. Trickett to pay for nails and locks required. At supper, the birthday cake, made and donated by Mn:: du Faur, was cut by Mrs. N. Clarke. The lowering of the Flag and Taps ended a very happy evening. TUAKANA.
