M() I]fiA -W A I WIiMTV li HAN TH The annual mooting; of the above branch was held in St. Paul's Hall on August 1 llli, when Mrs. D. Wede kind was re-elected president. Mrs. Sadlier, who has been treasurer for nine years, resigned and was presented with a gift in appreciation from fellow members. Alter the business had been disposed of, the balance of time was given over to a social afternoon. Mrs. Bernard, who has taken over the choir, was given a hearty welcome, and presented with a boutjuet. The choir sang several numbers, accompanied by Mrs Grigg. Members also entertained by relating personal humourous pars. Afternoon tea was served, after which a play reading entitled "Gossip," was given by Mesdames Wedekind, Stanton and Wilson, and was much appreciated. This brought a very happy afternoon to a conelus-
