HARRIER NOTES
On Saturday afternoon the members of the Hutt Valley Harrier Club were the guests ot' Mr. and Mrs. A. Petersen and Mr. and Mrs. P. Hurley, Petone. there being a good gathering of runners and supporters. The veteran of the club. T. Hurley, who is still going strong, led the boys on a good trail up the Koro Koro hill via London Bush to a point known as the Sugar Loaf and bade down the old Koro Koro road. ThoKiC who showed best form are: First Pack, K. Lockett, T. Hurley, I. Millward; Second Pack li. Hamrnington. D. McLaughlin, A. Cough; Third Pack: R. Simson, N. Searle, L. Brunetti. After the run ail were entertained to a very enjoyable afternoon tea the president of the club. Mr. M. Gough, thanking Mr and Mrs. Petersen. and Mr. and Mrs Hurley for their hospitality. On Saturday, August 8, the club is holding its senior and junior championships at No. 1 Elizabeth Street, Lower Ilutt. In conjunction with this race a sealed handicap is being held. Other runs to take place are August 15, Invitation by club captain at 10 Moa Street., Lower Hutt; August 22, invitation by Mr. McGrath at Garden Jttoad, Taita.
