The monthly meeting of the Women's Division of the Farmers Union, was held in St. James's Hull on Tuesday, Mrs. .Stevenson, president, presiding. Forty-one members were present. The president welcomed visitors present, and ;ilso one new member, Mrs. J. T. Mack. A letter from Mrs. ()rr, acting Dominion Sorr^t;try to fallow members w;is read. Various ways of '-Mori ding Unpatriotic activities of the branch were discussed and found impracticable, but it was decided to support the Hut.t Valley Services Club as well as the A.N.A. Arrangements to form a beginners class, to be known as the W.D.F.n. .Spinning Circle, an; in hand. This will be aUached to the Hutt Spinning Circle. A roll call, ''What nationality would yon like to be if you couldn't be British" was responded to by all members, 1 and a,, geography test resulted in Mrs. Hurroll i&eing declar- ' : I ed the winner. A quantity of wool.wijs distribu ed for knitting garments for the; Merchant Navy and 1 2 "parcels were packed for the sons ofi.members who are serving overseas.
