In the final nursing examination at the Auckland Public Hospital, Miss Mavis Gunn, an old pupil of the Hutt Valley High School, gained second place and was recommended by the Board for the silver medal. Miss Gunn, whose parents. Mr and Mrs. R. Gunn, reside in Low6r Hutt. is taking her maternity course at the Masterton Hospittal in June, and later hopes to obtain a position at the new Hutt hospital.
