The Hutt News Wednesday, October 22,1941. Local and General

The Methodist Ladies' Guild will this year hold their Victory Fair in Wesley Hall on Thursday, October 30th. Mrs. J. W. Andrews will perform the opening ceremony at 2.30 p.m. There will be the usual stalls and afternoon tea. In the evening a picture screening will be giv§n, and the support of friends is solicited. The rainfall recorded at Lower Hutt during September, 1941, was 7.18 inches and the number of wet days 13. The maximum fall of 2.06 inches occurred on the 6th. The rainfall was 98 per cent, above the I average.
