& CHAPLAIN PRISON Ell OF WAR Previously reported Missing, believed Prisoner of War. HURST, Walter E. W., 4th Class. Mrs. U. C. Hurst, 49 Pitt Street, Wadestown (w). The vicar (Uev. H. E. K. Fry) referred at St. James's and at St. Paul's Churches oil Sunday last to the official report received recently from the Senior Chaplain to New Zealand Forces in the Middle East (Hishop Gerard). The Bishop wrote that he had most encouraging accounts of the work Mr. Hurst .was doing amongst prisoners of war. Letters have been received from him, written from Crete in July. He was well, and with New Zealand soldiers, and likely to be moved elsewhere, he thought, before long.
