Owing to the provisions of the Coal Yard Labourers and Drivers' Awards, it has been found necessary by the coal dealers in the Petone and Hutt Valley Districts to Close their coal yards on SATURDAY all day, commencing on SATURDAY, the 18th OCTOBER, 1941, and until the 11th April, 1942. Householders should therefore ensure that they have supplies to carry them over the week-end and should place their Orders for Coal, Coke or Firewood in the, early portion of the week in order that retailers can complete tfceir deliveries by 5 p.m. on Friday evenings.
