WEDDING

FLAYER— NEILSEX A wedding of wide local interes took place at St. Augustine's Church Petorie, when .Clarice, daughter o Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Neilsen, Petone was married to Sgt.-Pilot Haroli Player, R.N.Z.AF., second son o Mr. and Mrs. P. N. Player, Lowe; Hutt. The ceremony was performed bj the Rev. H. Kenny and Rev. H. E . Fry. Miss Hobbs was at tin organ. The bride was escorted*by hei father. She wore a beautiful froch of white embossed cloque cut 011 fitting lines, and fashioned with a heart-shaped neckline and a long, sweeping train. Her tulle veil fell from a floral head-dress to form a second train, and she carried a bouquet of white hyacinths, cyclamen, June roses and snowdrops. The Misses Iris and Joyce Neilsen, sisters of the bride, attended her. They were dressed alike in white frocks which featured flowing tulle skirts and ring velvet bodices. Matching picture hats and bouquets of cyclamen flowers completed their ensembles. Pilot-Officer Waters performed the duties of best man, and Mr. N. Player was groomsman. The reception was held in the Masonic Hall, where Mrs. Neilsen, who was wearing a lime and black ensemble and a spray of orchids, received the guests. Mrs. Player, who assisted her, was in a navy ensemble with a spray of cyclamen and violets. ' For travelling the bride wore a smart iiavy and white outfit. Sgt.Pilot Player has now left for service overseas.
