DOMINION FEDERATION OF TOWNSWOMEN'S GUILDS
The chairman, Mrs. N. W. Benstead, welcomed a large gathering at tlje v August meeting of the Lower Hutt Townswomen's Guild. Members were reminded that the Xmas parcels for the soldiers would be packed in September, and any contributions "Would be welcome. Mesdames Hardy, Watson and Widdicombe were welcomed as new committee members. Mrs. Hind, a visitor, presented two humorous elocu* tionary items. Mrs. S. Murray woii the sponge competition. The best flower in the garden was won bjj Mrs. Harwood, Mrs. J. Futter being second. Members were keenly'int terested in a talk given by "Aunt Daisy." The September meetingwill take the form of a."Husbands' Evening."
