They were the Petone Nursing. Division and ' the petohe J Nursing Cadet Division, - both of ] which were of . thA of St. ' John. -- \ Corfcs Superintendent C. B. Biqjiß, •' who commandsr the Hutt Valley : Corps, presided, .and the gathering 1 was of a large and representative, < nature. In his opening* remarks, Mr. C. E. 1 Binns commented on the work done ( by various people for the welfare of the movement, and expressed hlB appreciation and thanks. After the registration supper was I served, and the evening took on a social nature. There were three individual items, interspersed with dances. The first item was given by Miss Leah Leslie, a seven-year-old dancer, who gave a very pretty selection. Marching into the hall In the dress of a "Gay Huzzar," she gave a very fine exposition of a military picture dance. Mrs. Rae then gave a humorous and .well rendered costume recital. Her description and story of the woes.and tribulations of a domestic servant took the house by storm. Dressed in the historic costume of the Cossack, Miss Pamela Trimmer took the minds of her audience over the vast tracts of land that constitute the land of our great ally.
