WAIWHETU TOWNSWOMEN'S GUILD

The opening meeting of the Waiwhetu Townswomen's Guild took place on Wednesday, June 28th, in St. Paul's Church hall, White's Line East, with an attendance of 33 members. Mrs. Rushton presided and welcomed members of the Lower Hutt Townswomen's Guild. Business was dealt with and a demonstration of arts and crafts was given by Mrs. King, of the Lower Hutt Townswomen's Guild, whijch was extremely interesting to all. Afternoon tea was served, and the meeting concluded with the singing of the New Zealand National Anthem.

Meetings of the Waiwhetu Townswomen's Guild will be held on the fourth Wednesday in every month, and not on the fourth Thursday as stated in last week's issue.
