APPRENTICES AS HOSTS

<§) Over four hundred people accepted the invitation of the Hutt . Railway Workshops apprentices' social committee to attend their special dance" in the Workshops social hall on Thursday night. A strong committee, consisting of Messrs. G. Seymour (chairman), I. Millard (secretary), T. Farquhar (treasurer), J. Beard, J. McKay, L. Vartha, K. Cockh'ead, C. Pickett, F. Jerorason, and J. McGregor, w&re in charge, and were congratulated on their excellent arrangements. Numerous requests for encores to the dances were requested, and the several 'spot" and m6nte carlo numbers proved extremely popular. Mr. M. Smith was M.C. Supper was served by the committee.
