LEAGUE OF MOTHERS The opening meeting, under the new heading of "Moera-Waiwhetu" branch, was held at St. Paul's Church HaU on March 14th, presided over by Mrs. Hayton. The speaker was Mrs. Gaby, of the St. John Ambulance Division, giving a lecture on home nursing and demonstration of bed-making. Mothers were advised to take up the lectures for first-aid, classes for whicji had started in Lower Hutt. j Vocal solos were given by Mesf dames P. Seager and Stamp, the accompanists being Mesdames Wedekind and Dunkley. The committee received with regret the resignation of Mrs. J. M. Synott, secretary, and Mrs. P. R. Dunkley was appointed to the office, • ' Mrs. Heasley was presented with a bouquet to /'mark the occasion of her silver wedding anniversary.
