At last Thursday's meeting of the Hutt Valley Power Board, Mr: C. E. Dowland was granted six months' leave of absence, as he is leaving next month for a trip to England. The engagement is announced of Mildred Lucie, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Turner, Marsden Street, to Leslie Anton Harvey, only son of Mrs. M. H. Bogren and the late Mr. A. W. Bogren, of Aro Street, Wellington.
