PUBLIC MEETING
An advertisement appears in this issue calling attention to a public meeting to be held in the Prince Edward Theatre on Wednesday, 10th August at 8 p.m. The speaker will be 'the Minister of Public Works and Transport (the Hon. R. Scniple). The speaker will also be assisted by the display of a iilm showing public works in 'construction under old and new methods. As this iilm has received much comment and is looked forward to with keen interest wherever it goes, the residents of the Waiwhetu district are particularly favoured by having the advantage of a screening at Wobuni. The meeting is under the auspices of the Wellington Suburbs Labour Representation Committee.
