The recent meeting y>f . G-.UjO.OjF. was held in the Birch .Street Hall en Monday, October 5, Sis. K. Reild, N.G., presiding over a very large anud attentive meeting of mienilbers. Sick ipay was passed' to Bro. Holland who is making good progress towards recovery after his unfortunate" accident. Bro. Gray P.M.G; ,the district delegate, reported jpn the activities of the district council. Bro. A. Harner, Dist. Master, and the following district officers, Bro. Palmer; D.DjM., Bro. Hyde, DjS., Sis. Rylde, D.T., Bro. Mahone,y, D.T., Bro. Knight, D.T., were present for the purpose of installing ithe newly elected oftkers, itlhesp (being Sis. [K.J Reid, P.N G., Sis. Hey, N.G., Bro-. Blackwall, V.G., Bro. Patton, P.N.G., secretary, Bro. K. Brookes, recording secretary, Bro. Toms, P.N.G., treasurer. The Dist. Master and his officers gave instructive talks on the intended workings for the benefit of the Order. An invitation was received from the sports secretary to participate in a combined indoor sports meeting at Loyal Eyde Branch at Karori on November 3. Invitations were sent to William Bain Lodge in 'the 1.0.0.P. at Lower Hutt to participate in a -triangular tabl-e tennis tourney on November 2. Bro. Cooper reported on the successful soccer match played against Loyal William Bain, Star of Lower Hutt winning by '2 goals to 1. Bro. Boulton, the musical prolduicer, notified 'the members of two numbers from the recent variety show that request items tbe performed at Loyal W. Bain Lodge, Kilbirnie, on Monday, 12th.
A Kiwi Iti liebekah Lodge No. 44, 1.0.0. F., held, its fortnightly meeting recently, Sis. B. Puck presiding over a fair attendance, and accounts were passed for payment. Mcmlbers of Star of Petone made an official visit. The D.D.G.M. (Bro. A. J. Burgh) and suite were officially present for the installation of officer.; for the ensuing term as (follows: —I.PM.G., pis. B. Pack; N.G., Sis. E. Robins; V.G., Sis. N. Mitchell; R. Secretary, Sis. Simmiss; 11.I 1 . Secretary, Sis. McPhee; Treasurer, Sis. Symingtonj Warden, Sis. M. Mitchell; Con., Sis. Macdonald; Chaplain, Sis. T. Mitchell; R.S.N,G., Sis. Craig; L.-S.N.G., Sis. Lawrence; 1.G., Bro. McPhee. A hearty welcome was accorded the visitors. Bro. Burgh wished the lodge every success. Sv. Lawrence replied on behalf of Star o! Petone. Lodge routine ended, all adjourned for table tennis.
