ANZAC STAMP CAMPAIGN,

The executive of the Hutt Valley Branch of the Returned Soldiers' Association, would like to publu-ly thank the Petone Borough Council, Lower Hutt Borough CVuncii, Hutt River Board and all the other local bodies, business houses and the general for their very generous response in the above campaign. The sale cf these commemoration stamps in the Lower Hutt and Pctouu has quite measured up to the committee's expectations, a total of £17G for the two boroughs. Eilty per cent, of this total goes to the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association, to help augment the fund for the benefit of Returned men in distress. The grand total of the campaign for the whole of the Dominion will be published very soon, and will probably be a substantial amount. To all those ladies and gentlemen who organised a house to house canvass, the committee is indeed grateful, for these efforts they are helping a great deal to alleviate the suffering of the men who sacrificed so much.
