PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE.

ADVICE TO PUPILS, ' The necessity to plan their future lives instead ot' drifting was urged upon the pupils of the Hutt Valley High School at the brcakiny-up ceremony by Air. 11. H. ■Cornish, K.C.. Solicitor-Gen-eral. All over the world, he said, people wore making plans, "both interna] and external The planning with which liis hearers were faced was the planning of their individual lives. The alternative to planning was drifting, said Mr. Cornish. The driller 'might make something of life, but not very much. But he was a pretty poor type withal. " iViJI you be a force in the community or just an amiable nonentity?" asked Mr Cornish. "If you are going to be a forcc you must make up your mind now." Mr. Cornish urged the pupils to take their parents and their teachers into their confidence, for they best knew 1 their capabilities.
