COMING OF AGE PARTY.
A very happy party was given on Thursday, November 28 in the Birch Street Hall, by Mr and Mrs A. P. Bayly to celebrate the coming of age of their son Malcolm. Mrs Bayly wore a charm ing gown of floral georgette. Dancing comprised the major portion of the -programme, music being supplied by Bolton's orchestra; but there were some very enjoyable items given, including ventriloquist Mr. C. Burridge and hb doll "tSainmy,", exhibitions of modern dancing by Winsome and Mervyn Smith, pupils of Miss Eva Draper, and humorous song by Mr Parsons, Mr J. Mair acted as MjC, A delicious supper was served in very pleasant, surroundings, the room being decorated with various coloured Iceland poppies. Mr. McKcnzie propose! the toast of the guest of honour and his parents, which were very suitably replied to. A very pleasant evening was brought to a close by the singing of "Auld Lang Sync."
