ANNUAL MEETING OP DELEGATES EIGHT-BALL OYfiliS, The an nun] meeting of the Unit Valley Cricket Associatin was held on Monday, September !), before a record attendance of delegates, tlie Waiwhetu Club being the only club not represented. Mr. H, Webster, who presided, in 'moving the adoption of the annual re'port and balance sheet,, remarked that although the past season had been I strenuous it could be 'regarded as a most successful one from all points of j'view. Mr. Mollis, (Taita; seconded the adoption. Three new clubs were aililiated— Oddfellows, Ivpuni, and TcJils (!') ami with additional teams in from Trafalgar Park one, Meadows one, GracelieJd' one, and Central cue, twenty seven "teams will be participating in the season's competitions; Remits. C.rK'kot Council and the AVelli.ugtou Cricket Association as a subUnioii, Mr. Hollis asked if the statement that appeared in the press slating thai clubs were subsidised had been cojreded. The secretary replied that, a correction would appear in tlie press after the Lower Unit Borough Council meeting that night. The chairman remarked' thai unless more grounds could be procured a limit would be placed on affiliations as only thirteen wickets were available for the 1i133-o/6 season. The Umpires' Association requested delegates present to endeavour in piocure umpires for the cmiing season as it was their intention to appoint two umpires to each game. Office Bearers.
