ARBOR DAY.
BOROUGH COUNCIL ARRANGEMENTS. | The Lower Hutt liorougli Council propeses to celebrate Arbor -fay, which this year falls on "August 7, by carrying out a portion of its street planting ! programme. The senior scholars of the 'local schools are assisting in the work, laud arrangements have been made for | all interested U.' assemble at the Wuluirn Sunken Garden at the end ol ,'Massey Avenue at on the day. There will be a brief address bv the mayor and possibly by Mr. T, A\. AttAvood, after which some trees will be planted in adjacent streets by the oflicial party. The school children will then proceed to the streets allotted to them and plant trees under supervision.
