PLUNKET SOCIETY.

SUCCESSFUL PLAY READING. A very successful play reading was given in the Lower Hutt l'lunkct rooms last week the proceeds being in aid of the Plunket funds. There was a large and enthusiastic audience. The play was "Laburnum Grove," by J. B. Priestley. Those who took part read and acted exceedingly well. They were Miss MacDiamid, Mrs. F. Me- * 7 Lean,( Mr. A. Foster, Mr. W. Olphert, Mr. Morison, J>r. McLean, and Dr. Raw son. Miss B. Humphries read the stage directions. At the conclusion of the reading Mrs Andrews thanked the Reading Club for the enjoyable evening they had given, after which supper was served.'
