Hazel's Secret: Here's a helpful hint from Hazel Forbes, attractive blonde who has a role in RKO Radio's musical, "Down to Their Lust Yacht." If you arch your eyebrows and wish to enhance your beauty, pluck litem from underneath, for this has a tendency to make your eyes appear a great deal larger. Pert's Knee Treatment: Pert Helton, RKO Radio featured player, who is often pictured in shorts, says: "1 have become 'knee conscious' after being pictured in shorts and bathing I suits, and I use the following treat- ! inont: —First I mass'age the muscles around the knee briskly for about five minutes with the tips of my lingers. I then wash the knees in lukewarm water with a good soap, using a soft brush. Then I apply a tissue cream and leave it on for about iiftccn minutes, wiping it off with a soft to-wel.'' Ginger avoids this by rubbing a bit of arm lotion into her elbows every day and by bleaching them occasionally. , Irene's Formula: Beautiful Irene Dunne, star of RKO Radio's "Age of Innocence," eats an apple a day for her complexion's sake, and she wants it distinctly understood that it is Is'OT to keep the Doctor away. (For the uninformed, Miss Dunne is married to Dr. Francis Griflin, of New York). Sidney Fox' Unique "Five Year Plan." Sidney Fox, petite star of RKO Radio's "Down to Their Last i'acht," will probably never have to experience in life the embarrassing situations that confront her in this lilm. And it's all because of her "Five Year Plan." Sidney is one of the most economical players in Hollywood, and plans to remain so I'or the next live years. Revealing her pet economies on the set., she stated that they dated back to the days when she was a struggling stenographer. At that time she declared that, should she ever make any money, she would save jt I'aillifully so that she would never have tu worry in her old age. Amd here is what she does: She lives on ten per cent of her salary—the other ninety per cent goes back into the bank. AVhile other stars buy expensive cars, Sidney drives a modest one. She designs her own dollies, and has tlieni made at a dressmaker's in New York where she knows she can get them done cheaply. She does all her own hair and beauty treatments, and even brings her own lunch to the studio. .She loves warm milk Avith her lunch; she recently bought a cow, and keeps

it on her ranch for this purpose. Irene Dunne's economical budget system was an inspiration to Miss Fox, and she faithfully follows the example set by Miss Dunne. In "Down to Their Last .Yacht," *Miss Fox plays the role of the daughter of the rich who is forced down to her last yacht during the depression. Sidney says this will never happen to her if she can help it.
