ENTRIES FOR HANDICAP EVENTS. '' f Owing to the unpleasant weather experienced over the week-end the attendance was not great and as it is thought that a numbr of members who intended to enter for the handicap events have not done so, the closing date for entries has been extended to October 22. Those wishing to enter should do so .before that date as it is intended to make the draw immediately. Inter-club Matches. Five teams have been entered fov these matches which commence 011 November 3. It is hoped to have two senior teams and one each in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades and as the majority of last season's players are again available and a number of senior players from other clubs nd districts are kei'fi to participate, the teams should be even stronger than last season. Ladder Matches. Tin following matches were played on Saturday:—M. J. Power defeated M. Sandlant, 9-(i; J. D. Gray defeated D. Mcginie 0-4. Members are reminded that teams for matches are selected from the ladder positions, and those challenged for their position are expected to arrange f«-r the -game to be played as early as possible. In the event of the ?:um; not being played within the time limit t\<> mat;'h automatically goes to the challenger.
