PETONL , LADIES' CLUB ' The official opening of the Wte seasoa took place recently, thoro being about seventy persons present, including vicc-ptesiUonts, rj embers of the Central Club and friends ot : members All present took part in the match, captain's team against vice-captain's toain, tho captain'rf team winning by a small margin. Mr McKcnzie (patron) expressed tho pleasure if Mrs McKeuzie and himself at again being present at a function of tho Club, and in declaring the season open wished the club every success. Mr W. Nadh M.P. (vice president) also spoke and wished the club eunthiued success. Mrs Marsden (President) extended a welcome to all present and presented the following trophies:—Shooting , (visitors) Mrs Belsham, Mr Scott; ladder golf, Mrs Tanlin, Mr Xash; highest score, Petone Ladies (Mr Wild's trophy)— Miss Gregory (49-50).
