CHURCH SERVICES.
Owing tu the inclement weather o i Saturday, a tournament arranged i>y the Knox Tennis Club to wind up the season, had to be abandoned, but the ladies' iinal for the Aclu'.oyd Cup was played in between showers. A few club members were present and the club captain, Mr. M. Davidson, presented the Ackroyd Cup to the respective winners. The games were very closely contested this season, the ladies' cup being won by Miss F. Hoy and the men's by Mr K. It. Soward. Although the season is officially closed, members may still play during th?. winter months. Arrangements have been finalised for the re-sealing of one of the courts and surrounds, and this will be carried out during the winter by the male members. The club extends a cordial invitation to all friends, for its wind-up dance to be held on Saturday, '19th May.
