BELMONT WOMEN'S INSTITUTE.
Two new members were welcomed at the October meeting of the-Belmont Women's Instiutc when the social arrangements were in charge of the Belniont members. Mrs Hurst read the motto for the month and the president then reminded members to have their entries for the Flower Show to be held next month, in not later than 1 p.m.
Mrs W. J. Craig, who has been on holiday in Bunedin, reports being very hospitably received at the Broad Bay and Macandrew Bay institutes.
A short sketch "Aunt Jane's*Bniaur cipation'' was presented" by Mesdames Payne, Tate, Spence, Conolin, Hurst, Mulgrew and Miss lua'Moran, followed by a pianoforte solo by MrszMulgrew.
At the next evening meeting to be held on the fourth Tuesday of the month, there will be a competition for the best plate of sweets (two kinds)
made froml lb of sugar.
