Leggatt who had batted confidently was vhen clean bowled by O'Sullivan, a real good effort, da edge who followed, retired hurt. Lewi* the next batsman bated brightly and with Wilkinson carried i the total to 156 before he succumbed to I Cummings 156-7 32. McConnack was ran out for a uingle and Wilson the last man scored 9, the inningß closing for 194. Wilkinson 25 not out. Bowling for Weljxogton Cummings took 4 wickets for 138, Woodcook 2 for 20, O'Sullivan 2 f-K 21, Hutchings 1 for 14.
Wellington opened with O'Sullivan and Woodcock the former being bowled by Sherlock when the score stood at 13. 13-1-5. Patrick joined Woodcock but the latter missed one of Berry's deliveries 13-2-8. Gmnmiags filled the vacancy und a good partnership followed, both ba'smen playing the bowlers with confidence. Cummings jumped out to Sherlock and Webb nnJe no mistake with the bails. 128-6-4;?. The retiring batsmaa had played good cricket. Leggatt made short work with the tail taking 5 wickets for 12 runs. Sher* lock took 4 for 50 and Berry. 1 for 35. Hutt Valley thus won the "Stranded" Cup for the second time
