LOWER HUTT ASSOCIATION
SOCIAL NOTES
The social committee of the above club are working very energetically indeed and are sparing no efforts to make their opening dance at the King George Hall on Saturday, March 25, a
huge success. Messrs B. Brown and W,
Nicolle will again be officiating as MjC.'s and with the arrangement of the programme in the hands of these able gentlemen there should not be a dull moment throughout the evening. A spe-, clal feature will be a demonstration by two pupils of Miss Eva Draper, the well knoiwrn local dancing teacher Doro and Gordan Binns. This small couple whose
combined ages amount to only 39 years are claimed to be the youngest couple in New Zealand demonstrating ballroom dancing, and this item alone will be well worth seeinng. The ever popular Pennsylvanians Orchestra has been engaged and this also should be an attraction as the orchestra is very well known to the dancing community of the Hutt Valley and is always up to the minute as regards dancing music. Pat-
Rons attending the dance should be well
satisfied and will doubtless look forward to further successful functions when the social committee will endeayour to make each succeeding dance as entertaining and enjoyable as the opening night promises to be. The subscriptions have been arranged to suit everybody's purse. Ladies 1/6, gentlemen 2/-.
