ST. PETER and PAUL'S CLUB.

The opening of the above club took plaice during the week-end, and there was a good number of visitors from the Catholic clubs of Petone, Lyall Bay, Thorndon, and Islajjd Bay. The president (Mr E. O'Neil), in his opening remarks, welcomed the guests and hoped they would all enjoy themselves by having a pleasant afternon on the courts. He then introduced the patron of the club (Rev Father Daly) who addressed the members, wishing them a successful season. He then served a ball over the net and declar«d the season open.

A dainty afternoon tea was served in the hall.

The afternoon's tennis took the form •fa Yankee Tournament, the winners being Mi« 3M. Weybtfrn and Mr McSherry. *■
