RESIDENTIAL NURSERY

The monthly meeting of the Lower Hutt Branch of the Residential Nursery was held at the Red Cross Rooms, Mrs Burgess presiding and twelve mem bers ai the committee being present.

It was definitely decided to hold a "Shop Day" in Lower Hutt on 21at October and arrangments for this were immediately put in hanJ.

Before her departure for England Mrs Reddington kindly donated a picture for competition and this has been won by Mrs N. Breen, Totara Crescent.

BRTD,G-E and "500" AFTERNOON Recently at the Woburn Croquet and fowling Club Pavilion, a Br* w

"500" afternoon was held as a result of whiich the funds of the Residential Nursery will benefit.

The committee desire to thank the members of the Woburn Croquet and Bowling Club for once again placing the pavilion at their disposal.

The arrangements were in the capable hands of an energetic committee who served a most delicious after-

noon tea,

The prize-winners were:* Bridge, Mrs Horwell; "Hidden Number," Mrs Faweott; "500" Mrs C. F. Whiteman and Mrs Low. ' . ';■.■•
