Shortly afterwards Winnie, who was playing splendidly at full-back, obtained possession in his own twenty-five, and after making a splpndjd run clean thrmigih 'the opposing team scored near the posts. With a 13—3 lead Hutt kept up the pressure, but were unable further to increase their score.
