LOWER HUTT GIRL GUIDES.
The annual meeting of the Commit-' tee of the Ist .Lower Hutt Crirl Guides Company was held in St. James's small school-room on Fiiday last, it was a small bait eritJrosiastie meeting. Miss Campbell, captain of the Guide Company, and Mrs. Amies, the Brownie Brown Owl, were warmly congratulated on their very comprehensive "reports,,, which, showed that they had given much time and energy to the work entailed. The girls have been v.cry sue: «essful in the various outside compe- : . titions in which they have taken part.. They have Teeently' won the' Shield* presented by Miss Scaly for Hutt "Val-. ley inter-club competitions. The Company Committee's report and balance sheet were read and dis-' cussed, and adopted. The meeting then proceeded to elect a committee for the ensuing year, which resulted as follows:—Mesdames Olphert (president), G. Aldous, Carter, Clark, Doig, Poster, Hansell, Hurst, Hosie, Robinson, Sladden, Oliver, Humphries (treasurer), and Miss Stuart-Forbes (secretary).
