KINDERGARTEN DEMONSTRATION.
Miss Nancy Williams held a demonstration at her private • ic'uKlergartsn recently when a number of the parents of the children and others were present. Prior to tins demonstration Miss Riley, of the Hutt Kindergarten1 Association, spoke of the methods ocf kindergarten. She said that Miss" Williams has pioneered tihe wefrit in the. Hutt, and hoped she would continue and the school would grow. Miss Riley was presented with a posy of flowers by one of the children. A demonstration of a kindergarten day, but somewhat abbreviated, was then given, the children singing, their "Good Morning" song- -and- going through a number of energetic exercises, skipping, hopping, etc., and singing songs, playing games, and then getting their little tables and proceeding to their work of cutting out patterns, threading beads, and working with plasticine. This was succeeded by kindergarten games and^niore songs, and at the end one of the small children acted teacher, and said goodbye to all the others. The visitors became greatly interested in all the children's work and play, and were sorry when the demonstration was over.
