In perfect weather the \Boulcott School Bazaar was held on Saturday last. The funeton was officially opened by Sir Alexander Roberts'1 who was accompanied by Lady Roberts. Sir.
A. Roberts apologised for the absence of His.-Worship the Mayor. In the course of his opening speech Sir Alex, congratulated the Bazaar Committee on the quantity and quality of the goods offered for sale. He declared all people's pockets officially opened, for no worthier object cpuld be contributed to than that of improvements of school grounds.
I The various stalls were well patronised during the course of the afternoon, the taking amounting to £41. I The following is a list of stall holders: — Sowing.—Mrs. H. B. Gordon and Miss Snmill. Producq.—Mewdames Anderson and I Burgess. Cake. —Mesdaines Adam, Tayloi*" and Magee. Jumble. —Mrs Cairns. Sweets. —Mrs D. Iv., and the Misses Pritdhard. ....„, Ice Cream and Drinks. —Mrs Turner. Flower.—Mrs and Miss Burke.. Xmas Gift —Mrs Elsperson. Children's—The Misses Gearing and Trevethick. Tea Booms —Mesdames Pilchcr and Gearing. The Misses Home (2), Adam, Geariii'g. Fish Game—Mt. Adam. Mrs. J. Batchelor, secretary of Bazaar Committee and the members of the School Committee —Messrs Pilcher, Home, Trevethick, -Marsh and Gnndy— very ably assisted.
