PLUNKET SOCIETY.

Mis. G. A. Chapman presided at the monthly meeting of the Plunket Society which was attended by the following committee members: —Mesdames McCaw, Hunt, Hardcastle, Earnshaw, Tosswill, Robinson, Gibson, Meadows, Buxton, Bock, Fairbairn, Bennett, "Yon Zedlitx, Hall and Mrs Hoggard (hon. sec.) Apologies were received from Mesdames Strand, Sladden and Dick. The Plunket nurse's report for the month of August was accepted as very satisfactory and gave the following figures: —Visits of adults to room, 694, babies 404, older children 136; Norse's visits to homes, 166; new baby cases 20. Pre-natal: number of first visits to Clinic 12, return visits 65, patients under observation 45, visited by nurse 9. Subscriptions received by Nurse and i Secretary and gratefully acknowledged are: —Mesdames L. Hall 5/-, F. Warmington 5/-, Q. Wilson 5/-, R. Cameron £1 1/- S. Trevethick 10/-, E. A. Toomath 5/-, F. E. Smith £1 1/-, J. G, Helyar 5/-, G. Strickland 5/-, Mrs. T. O. Bishop 5/-, Messrs H. B. Gordon £2 2/-, R. G. House 5/-. Mrs (Dr.) Marchant was elected to fill the vacancy on the committee.
