Miss Ina Hollard, of Rotorua, is the guest of Mrs. Hugh Ayson, Woburn -Road. Mrs. S. H. Brown, with her little -daughter, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. A. Simpson, of Knights Road, has returned to her home in New Plyznouth. Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Rishworth are on ;a. holiday visit to New Plymouth. Mrs, D. C. Martin has returned from a •visit to Tauranga. Rev. J. Blackburn and Mrs. Blackburn, are visiting Wanganui. W. The position of Returning Officer for -the Hutt electorate, formerly held by Mr. JT. Bennett, of the Internal Affairs Department, has been transferred to Mr. F. B. Jamieson, clerk of the Court, Lower JETutt. The change has been made necessary by Mr. Bennett's promotion. Mr. W. Walton, who for over twenty ■one years has been in the service of the Swan "Bacon, Company, has severed his connection with the company, and has accepted the agency of a similar company -at Feilding. He left with the good-will of the entire staff, including that of Mr. Warwick the Sydney man,age£ of the firm. • On behalf of the staff, Mr. W. Smith recently presented Mr. Walton with an attache case and salad bowl for Mrs Walton, as a mark of the esteem in which he ■was generally held. Good wishes were extended for Ms future success. Mr. Walton will not be leaving Lower Hutt.
