ST. JAMES'S CLUB DANCE.
The dances held by the St. James's "Club are always looked forward to with considerable interest; and the one held last Friday evening in the St. James's Hall was a great success. No efforts were spared on the part of the committee -and all present spent an enjoyable evening. The hall was tastefully decorated with streamers and coloured lights. The Star Orchestra rendered good music. The •chaperons were Mesdames Jarman, Welch, Hansell, House, *Tosswell and Aldous. Among some of the guests present were: .Mrs. Hansell, who wore a frock of black .xnorocain; Mrs. Welch black frock trimmed with gold; Mrs. House blue frock brimmed with silver; Mrs. Jarman, black frock; Mrs. Tosswell, torquoise blue jfrock; Mrs. Greig, black taffata with an •overdress of lace and pink rose on shoulder; Mrs. Clabburn, black lace frock, trimmed with diamante buckle; Mrs Hearn, shot pink taffata, scalloped hem; .Mrs. Bush, lavender frock; Mrs Ashton, 'black embroidered georgette frock, pink shawl; Mrs. Barry, white taffata frock, torquoise blue shawl; Miss Watkins, Tvhite beaded georgette; Miss Myra Hill, ibiege frock, finished with wide pink sash xound waist; Miss Sweetzer dainty frock •of apricot marriette; Miss Pemberton, pink frock, black embroidered shawl; Miss Molly Glover, scarlet frock; Miss -Joan Welch, frock of fushia georgette, •diamante trimming; Miss Davies black frock; Miss Vaughan, scarlet velvet; -Miss Rooney, black frock, cluster of white i-oses on bodice; Miss Meadows, black ±rock; Miss Valmar Davies, pink frock; JMiss North, scarlet georgette; Miss Broderick, black frock, pink shawl; Miss JDorothy Wood, scarlet crepe de chene; JMiss Crosky, black georgette, scarlet velvet sash round waist; Miss Herron, pale pink georgette, ping shawl; Miss Marjory Wood, torquoise blue georgette; Miss Myra Ay son. salmon pink georgette; .Miss Bacon, pale blue georgette, yoke of silver lace, posey on shoulder; Miss Lottie Ayson, pale lemon georgette, diamante trimming; Miss Aldous, pink and silver frock; Miss Hogg, green frock; Miss .Mavis Mcßain, pink frock.
