Wedding Bells.
LE GRICE—MURRAY. A* very pretty wedding was solemnised on the ist instant at the residence of Mr. W. Murray, when Miss Lucy Murray was married to Mr. C. E. Le Grice, son of Mr. J. Le Grice, of Northern Wairoa. The P.ev. F, Stubbs, minister of, the Presbyterian Church, officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very sweet in a pretty white silk gown trimmed with lace and ribbon. She also wore a handsome gold watch and chain, the gift of the bridegroom. Miss Elsie Murray was bridesmaid, and looked exceedingly well in while Indian riuslin, trimmed with snowball embroidery, Mr. A. Miller acted as best man. A number of guests were invited to the wedding ceremony, which took place early jn the morning to enable the "newly-wedded couple to travel by the express train for Auckland, en route for their future home in the Northern Wairoa. The bride's travelling costume was a smart electric blue gown, inserted with ecru trimming; stylish white hat. The bride, who was very popular, and who had been an ardent helper in Presbyterian Church work and a member of the choir for some years, received two handsome presentations prior to her marriage. On Oct. 18th, Mr. and Mrs. Elliott gave a farewell social in honor of the prospective bride and bridegroom, at which all the members of St. John's Presbyterian Church choir and other guests were present. On this occasion, Mr. Appleby, choirmaster, on behalf of the choir, presented Miss Lucy Murray with a silver cruet, and a silver sugar basin and tongs. The second presentation was made by Mrs. Robertson and Mrs. Miller on behalf of tne members of St. John's congregation, and took the form of a substantial purse of sovereigns. The following is a list of some of the presents received by the bride : Marble clock, Singer sewing machine, silver butter dish, tsa set, Rotorua views, carved tray, pair c( pearl-handled butter knives, fruit bow! and down fruit plates, hearth rug, pair silver and ruby glass salt cellars and salt spoons, silver-mounted pickle jar, set of jugs, carved stool, silver toast rack, pair silver butter knives, pickle forks and jelly scoop, butter disli and knife, ruby glass water jug, glass cake stand, card tray, crumb tray and brush, hot water jug, pair carved photo frames, carved tray, pair of vases, book, pair of cushions, cookery book, silver-mounted sugar basin, bi'dsprcad, and silver-mount-ed silk umbrella.
