THE "NEW WOMAN'S" BATH.

To the Editor, SIE, —Re naming the ladies new swimming ha th : Ifyou will turn to the sth chapter of the Gospel according to St John at the 2nd, 3rd and 4th verses you will find these words : " Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Botliesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the wafer; whosoever then first, after the troubling of the water, stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had." Now, Sir, this must be true because it is in the Bible, and if true during the first century in old Jerusalem why not in Rotorua at the close of the nineteenth ? Here we have a pool which is not to troubled periodically by a single angel but by a multitude of angels daily and all day long. What a grand show for suffering humanity ! Is faith any less than it was eighteen centuries ago ? I think not. Is faith still " the substance of things hoped for " as the Apostle Paul tells us ? If so, we know that the "thing hoped for " by our invalids is a cure, consequently faith and cure should be convertible terms. Happy Rotorua! What a vista of infinite possibilities lies before thee.—l am, &c., Nemo.
