Williams, Neighbour, Wat ;md Protheroe, hon. sec. An apologi was received from Mi- Malfroy regrettiaj his enforced absence awing to the imi, ment weather, and Mr Corlett took t!, chair* In accordance with notice Mr Corlett' motion in regard to vesting the properl of tin! institution in trustees was dis cussed, ami it was eventually unanimousli decided that the following resolution i submitted to the general meeting in 0, tobcr; —" That the property of tliel.il,. rary be vested in trustees, and that sui trustees bo the Town Board as at preseu constituted, or any other body that mat in i i',' future supersodcfthem." On tin' motion of Mr Corlett, Becondi by .Mr Neighbour, it was resolved that, building fund be originated, and that ul sunn collected be placed in the Bank i the credit of the Rotorua Library Build iugFuud Account, to be used for tin stated purpose alone, and .to bo operate on by the Chairman of the Town Bour.l and the President and Treasurer of tl institution. Mr Corlett stated that cun tributions had already been promised, an he bad no doubt that a judieious canvas would soon result in a sum of money lining obtained which would justify the.. in taking steps for the erection of a build ing on tiie site granted for that purp isi It was also decided that the followiiu resolution bo submitted to the gen r meeting of members :- --"That the annun general meeting of members take plm in the see.aid Week in October in enyear for the eleetiort of a board of mini agoirtont, coosisting of president, vie president, and nine members of committi who at their first meeting will proceed t eleel a treasurer and a. secretary' out i their own number.'' It was pointed ou that this would place rules 3 and 1:1 mot in accord.
