AN ACTOR STABBED TO DEATH ON THE STAGE.
The Daily News' correspondent telegraphing f rom Yienna on 3rd I >ecember 1894, says: AtPrzemyse, inGaliciaan amateur dramatic performance last r ; ght ended in a shocking and very real tragedy. A play _ entitled "Kordyan" was being given in which a spy and traitor is found out and stabbed by the liero. The part of the spy was being played by the son of a tradesman in tho town, and the hero by an amanuensis. The latter was very much excited during the scene in question, and thrust the sharp dagger which was being used into the breast of his fellow-actor, who fell to the ground, while the amanuensis stood ° spellbound gazing in abject terror at the man at his feet. I'lis terror was so real that aH present at once vuderstood what had happened, and huu-ied upon the stage. The unhappy victim expired in the arms of the man who lifted him up.
