Mr Reeves in replying said that the Wairarapa magistrate in tbe teat case decided that the Gazette notice was conclusive evidence that Saturday was the legal, day and this being so he was bound to expect that the decision of the petitioners considered the magistrate's decision erroneous. The courts were open to test the question.
